Maeve: As Art

sorry about the lack of crispness, took these shots with my camera

So I've been wanting to do an illustration of Maeve for a long time. A series of them perhaps... maybe even enough to go along with a short story.

But for now, I have started just an illustration of her, as herself, being the "Wench with a Wrench" we all know and love, hard at work on one of her Trinity Drones. ;)

This is just pencil sketch beginnings, details & background will be worked in, then inked.

Finally I will scan the image in and probably paint it in photoshop.

Just wanted to share this start. :)

  2. Fun! Looking great. I've been dying to do one of these for Rettic too. Maybe we can make it a meme. :)

  3. Very cool, so I hate to nitpick. But I'm going to do it anyway: Drones are a tad larger than that ;)

  4. @Lake depends on the drone =P

Besides, if you've read back on some of my fiction of Maeve, she has several self-invented drones. Some for domestic assistance (like Rigel)... then there are also camera drones, I could go on, but I wont. ;)

@ Rettic.. what a good idea! This could be fun! \o/

  6. Wow, you've got talent. I really hope this doesn't kickstart a meme though, or I'll be submitting a stick man.

  7. Well, I can say I've purchased something from Maeve for a birthday present and it was awesome. She's a talented artist. Check the link to the right and have a look at what she can do. Under illustrations iirc.

Yes I was. The birthday girl (who went to Vienna for Carnivale) thought it was a marvellous present :
